Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe will reportedly not be facing any more criminal charges by the Justice Department.
After a 2018 inspector general’s report sparked a probe over McCabe’s lack of “candor” in comments about leaking to the media, the Department of Justice announced the investigation is now “closed,” Fox News reported.

“We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the Government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe,’” Justice Department attorney J.P. Cooney wrote in a letter to McCabe’s attorney Michael Bromwich.
“Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the Government at this time, we consider the matter closed,” the letter stated.

The letter followed a phone call from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., with the same information, Bromwich, and McCabe counsel David Schertler confirmed to Fox News.
“This means that no charges will be brought against him based on the facts underlying the Office of the Inspector General’s April 2018 report,” they said. “At long last, justice has been done in this matter.”
“We said at the outset of the criminal investigation, almost two years ago, that if the facts and the law determined the result, no charges would be brought,” Bromwich and Schertler added. “We are pleased that Andrew McCabe and his family can go on with their lives without this cloud hanging over them.”
McCabe was fired by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions in March 2018 following the inspector general’s report that found he gave information to The Wall Street Journal just days before the 2016 presidential election about an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and then lied about the leak. McCabe had become the acting director in May 2017 when President Trump fired then-FBI chief James Comey.
McCabe, who served at the FBI for more than two decades, had maintained his innocence.
Meanwhile, former Trump campaign official and longtime adviser Roger Stone is still awaiting justice to be served as prosecutors have recommended an excessive 7-to-9-year prison sentence after a partisan trial convicted him last year on charges of making false statements and obstruction.
The blatant double standard was immediately called out on social media following the report on McCabe.
If the libs like you- and especially if you hate Trump- the law does not apply.
Was true for Hillary, and now we see is true for McCabe.

Reminder: Roger Stone was accused of “process” crimes. Prosecutors recommended up to 9 years in prison.

Remember kids, if you want to lie to the FBI it’s important you work for the FBI. Otherwise you’ll get in big trouble. https://t.co/Glja6Vjlii

HONEST QUESTION: What has AG Barr done? Keep in mind, I’m not asking what you THINK he’ll do, what you HOPE he’ll do, or what you WANT him to do.
With the exception of this amazing gif, what has he actually done that’s any different from the rest of the swamp rats? pic.twitter.com/XQfwp5fOJJ
